  • Upper Rock Energy Partners, LLC (Upper Rock or Petitioner) filed a verified petition, and on May 25, 2007 Upper Rock filed a verified amended petition, seeking an Illinois Commerce Commission (Commission) order effective May 31, 2007, revoking the status of Qualifying Solid Waste Energy Facility (QSWEF) as defined in Section 8-403.1 of the Illinois Public Utilities Act (Act) of an electric generating facility owned by Upper Rock, fueled by landfill methane and located at the Upper Rock Island Landfill, in East Moline, Illinois, and also providing that MidAmerican Energy Company shall no longer be required to purchase electricity generated by the Facility from Upper Rock at the rate provided for in Section 8-403.1 of the Act.
