  • Avon Energy Partners, LLC (Avon or Petitioner) filed a verified petition, and on May 25, 2007 Avon filed a verified amended petition seeking an Illinois Commerce Commission (Commission) order effective May 31, 2007, revoking the status of Qualifying Solid Waste Energy Facility (QSWEF) as defined in Section 8-403.1 of the Illinois Public Utilities Act (Act) of an electric generating facility owned by Avon, fueled by landfill methane and located at 2000 East 122nd Street in Chicago, Illinois 60633, and also providing that Commonwealth Edison Company shall no longer be required to purchase electricity generated by the Facility from Avon at the rate provided for in Section 8-403.1 of the Act.
