  • Press release: The Illinois Department of Human Rights will hold its annual program to commemorate Black History Month at 12:00pm on Wednesday, February 11, at the James R. Thompson Center in Chicago. This hour-long event will involve a brief stage reading of the play From Slavery to the White House, written and directed by Chicago playwright Crystal Phoenix Tyler. A brief discussion will follow the dramatic reading. The media is welcome to attend.
