- Press Release: Bloomington-Normal MSA - The not seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased to 7.1 percent in December 2013 from 6.4 percent in December 2012.Non-farm payroll employment declined -1,400 from the previous December. Educational-Health Services (+100) and Other Services (+100) added jobs. Government (-600) and Financial Activities (-400) jobs declined.
