  • Press Release: The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) announced today that road conditions in some areas statewide are expected to change with the anticipated snow, extremely cold temperatures and high winds as high as 50 mph. Currently, some state routes in Northern Illinois are still snow and ice covered, creating slick and hazardous driving conditions for motorists.
