The Illinois Compiled Statutes require the Legislative Research Unit to compile and maintain information on federal aid programs administered by Illinois state agencies, and to report to the Illinois General Assembly on those programs. Federal Funds to State Agencies, FY 2011-FY 2013, the twenty-second edition of this report, is submitted by the Legislative Research Unit to fulfill this responsibility.This edition includes program descriptions and outlay information, as well as sections to assist legislators and staff in linking the federal program data to the state budget. A State Trust Fund section identifies the trust fund(s) used for depositing the federal grants, and a table indicates which state programs are supported and what areas and populations of Illinois are served by thefederal grants.
