  • Today, representatives from Illinois EPA and the Governors Environmental Corp (GEC) will take part in the first of several outreach activities with Springfield area summer programs. Through the Governors Junior Environmental Corp (Jr. GEC), school age children, age 5-12, take part in a hands-on environmental education program led by student interns working under the Governors Environmental Corp. Todays event marks the first of six events that will be held at Lincoln Memorial Gardens Ecology Camp.
