  • The Illinois Department of Transportation announces construction on I-57/I-64 in Mount Vernon is progressing on schedule. E.T. Simonds, the contractor for this project, is constructing the final phase of the northbound and southbound lanes of I-57/I-64 on the south end of the project. This work is expected to be completed by the beginning of December as originally scheduled.
