  • Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) officials will join representatives from the Illinois State Police and the Illinois Trucking Association (ITA) at the Illinois State Fairgrounds to provide important safety tips for motorists sharing the roadways with large commercial trucks. A news conference will be held on Friday, August 16th at 10 a.m. at the Illinois State Police (ISP) tent located near the Grandstand to share details about the new safety push and showcase a state trooper squad car that was struck by a semi tractor/trailer.
