  • Illinois Department of Natural Resources Conservation Police have temporarily restricted public access to a portion of the Fox River in Kane and McHenry counties due to swift currents, floating debris and submerged structures which have created conditions significantly hazardous for public navigation. These conditions also make it treacherous for emergency personnel who are called upon to respond to and rescue subjects involved in boating related incidents. The restricted area is between the Montgomery Dam to the Stratton Dam until further notice.
