Title

  • Decisions and Opinions of the Illinois State Labor Relations Board

Description

  • Hazel Crest Professional Firefighters, Local 4087, International Association of Fire Fighters vs Village of Hazel Crest: On July 7, 2010, the Executive Director John F. Brosnan dismissed the unfair labor practice charge filed by the Hazel Crest Professional Firefighters, Local 4087, International Association of Fire Fighters (Charging Party), in the above-captioned against the Village of Hazel Crest (Respondent). The Charging Party alleged that the Respondent had violated Seciton 10(a)(4) and (1) of the Illinois Public Labor Relations Act 5 ILCS 315 (2008), as amended, by insisting to impasse on four proposals which the Charging Party described as permissive subjects of bargaining. Thereafter, in accordance with Section 1200.135 of the Rules and Regulations of the Illinois Labor Relations Board, 80 Ill. Admin. Code Parts 1200 through 1240, the Charging Party filed a timely appeal of the Dismissal. After reviewing the record and appeal, we uphold the Dismissal of the reasons set forth by the Executive Director.
